Review wanted - Haunted

I've never seen this movie, but it was recommended to me, and none of the rental places seem to have it. Review, anyone?

Haunted is a excellent chiller, with a great ending. The film has a great feel to it throughout, mainly due to great sets and strong performances from Kate Beckinsale and John Gielgud. The casting is near perfect, and the script is very intelligent. I can't really say much more without giving something away, I highly recommend the film.

The books better!

I love being one of those righteous ass-holios who always feels the need to drop the fact that he read the book and saw the movie. I actually thought the movie was rather weak.

But it is true. If you like a good ghost novel, read the book and save the movie for a rainy day.

I definitely don't think its worth a purchase. Just a rental.

Rental! Don't buy it, you probably won't watch it twice. The movie is nicely done, but if you don't guess the 'plot twist' that holds the movie together in the first 20 minutes, you probably won't get it at the end, either

Really, it's a well done flick, and that makes it worth watching, but beyond that there's nothing too compelling about it.
