Review Wanted: Brassed Off

Someone mentioned this movie to me before. Big jazz fan...... so just wondering if you guys had any reviews on this movie and the DVD. Thanks again.

no reviews on the DVD, but the movie is pretty tedious, yet another in the "working class attempts to rise against oppressive living conditions in England by stripping/gardening/growing pot/playing in a marching band" stream of pictures from England that seem to never stop. And even by those standards, it's not particularly good.

I must concur with the above, but just want to add that the movie is redeeming in one respect: it really clarified that I want to bed Tara Fitzgerald very, very badly.

I agree with the previous posts. It's a pleasant, little Brit comedy that gets more cornball as it goes along. Since you are a music fan, you might like the music, but there isn't that much in it. Maybe two or three songs. But I really wasn't paying attention to the music because I was too busy staring (fantasizing) about Tara Fitzgerald. She was the one thing that kept me watching it until the end.

I liked this film, reminded me off Riff-Raff, though it was completely different. Good film.
