Anyone have a comparison review for Behind the POTA?

I have the original version of Behind the Planet of the Apes from the boxset & was thinking about upgrading to the new 2 disc release by Image but wanted some opinions first before shelling out the dough.

Has anyone out there picked up the new release yet & compared it to the original? Is it worth upgrading? Was hoping for a comparision review from DVDFile or Digitialbits but neither has anything yet.

Behind POTA review

Hi,

I've posted a review on my website:

www.thelatestdvd.com

The DVD is terrific and I'd highly recommend it over the porevious release.

Thanks for the links, guys!

Looks like I will stick with my original copy of Behind the POTA & maybe rent the new version. I rarely listen to interviews more than once & it sounds like that is really the extra meat of the new one!

Any other links or opinions...list them!

The new edition is awesome. When I saw the sticker on the DVD that said "3 hours of bonus materials", I thought that was INCLUDING the 2-hour documentary. It wasn't. In total, there is more than 5 hours of material on this set.

In addition to the amazing 2+hour documentary (previously available), you also get nearly 2 hours of "raw footage" interview of Roddy McDowall which is really amazing. Plus 20 minutes of dailies/outtakes from the first film, promo films, makeup tests, and a bunch of other extras. Definitely worth upgrading, in my opinion.
