Review wanted: Saving Silverman

Okay, the movie tanked at the box office. Is the R rated version really that bad also? Do the new scenes add anything to the movie or just add to tackiness the theater version was accused of?

I wrote a review of the R-rated version that you can read at http://dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?id=2295 if you're bored.

Aaron Beierle also has a review at http://dvdtalk.com/reviews/read.php?id=2300

This is quite possibly the worst movie I have ever seen in the 34 years I have been on this Earth. It causes me physical pain whenever I contemplate the fact that I spent money to see it in the theater. Be afraid... be very afraid. Even making an X-rated version would not save this movie.

Have to disagree - it's not a classic, and never will be, but it's fun - and has some real laugh-out-loud scenes and one liners... and Amanda Detmer is fine!

Get this DVD if you want a good old laugh, and also if you are a fan of Neil Diamond!

Jason Biggs was pretty horrible in it.

But I think the whole film is worth it for Jack Black. He was hysterically funny, and every scene he is in is funny.

But he's not in every scene, thus the movie is mediocre at best.

The most predictable film I have seen in several years. The attempts at humor seemed painfuly forced and cliche. maybe I am in a minority on this, But I absolutley can not stand Jack Black. I have hated this jack ass in every film I have seen him in.

Not only did I know how this "film" was going to end, I knew exactly everything that was going to happen in this film after a mere 15 minutes.

Sure Peet & Detmer are hotties, But I'm sure I could find other films they where in that would cause me a little less suffering to sit through than SAVING SILVERMAN .

UNFUNNY.

I've walked out of two movies in my entire life. Saving Silverman was one of them.
