It's certainly not my fav D. Washington movie nor my fav cop/serial murder thriller. The only "new" thing the movie/plot offers is the fact DW is bed ridden beyond that it's just a standard search for a serial killer. I wouldn't say it was close to dreadful, but it is one that I recommend people rent first before buying. However as JustinS mentions the DVD is nice so that might make it worth it to you if you can find a good enough deal.
Overall though I would recommend The Fallen over this one.

I don't know anything about the dvd, but I did see this movie in the theater. I was really disappointed. I really enjoy the cop/serial killer genre and I love Angelina Jolie and Denzel, but this movie was really wel....bad and silly.
