How is this movie? Any review is appreciated by anyone! I've never seen it, but saw it has a killer cast and pretty good reviews
Also, how is the DVD if you have it

From: Right now, my location is DVDTalk, but then again, you should already know that, shouldn't you?
If you want a movie where the main vampire walks around for an interminable 2-and-a-half hours whining and bitching about the fact that he's a vampire, this is your movie.
If you want a movie where vampires go to town on some poor, hapless human victims, then run, don't walk, away from this cinematic equivalent of watching paste dry.
I can't help you with the quality of the DVD since I prefer the latter brand of vampire film...

I was prepped to hate this movie. I am not a fan of Neil Jordan or Tom Cruise. Plus, I’ve read the book three, maybe four times, so I approached the movie with a crystal clear vision of the characters, settings, and atmosphere. But despite my apprehension, I enjoyed IwaV immensely. Perfect: absolutely not. Flawed: certainly. Nevertheless, IwaV works as a whole; there are moments, albeit interspersed among the humdrum, that capture Anne Rice’s words perfectly and that connect with me on visceral level.
If you enjoy the book, Vampire lore, or horror in general this title is definitely worth renting. I own it and watch it on occasion. The transfer is good and the sound is excellent, though short of reference quality. YMMV.

Dont listen to that filmmaker sissy, IWTV is a great movie. I think the cast was great and the story is told beautifully. Even if you havent read the book, you would still appreciate and love it. Its one of my favorite vampire films and i recommend it greatly.

I must agree with thegame here. I thought IWTV was an excellent movie. The DVD is fantastic as well (the orchestral score sounds phenomenal in DTS). If you're not sure rent it first, but I would highly recommend this film.

Man, this is one great movie and DVD! I think this film has the best performances from Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, and especially Kirsten Dunst ever! The story is great, and is fascinating even to those who generally do not like "vampire" movies. The DVD boasts a great transfer, a DTS track to die for, and an excellent commentary by Neil Jordan. I advise you to check it out...
