With all the great laserdiscs out there I decided to purchase a player.I found a Pioneer CLD-V2400 for $20 at a local resale shop and got it.It did not come with a manual or a remote. It works with my universal remote and it plays fine.I have some discs that have commentary tracks and I can't access them.Is this player capable of playing those?Does anybody have a manual to this player?Any help is greatly appreciated.

This is an industrial player for use with a computer for presentation and educational purposes. Still, for $20, it should be fine for home use as well.
The commentaries should reside on the analog L or R track, which should be selectable on any and all LD players. However, it would probably be a remote function. Pressing the AUDIO button would cycle the audio output through the various R/L digital/analog options. If your universal doesn't replicate the button, you might be out of luck. You might be able to track a replacement down (try RU-V103).
There's a bunch of manuals available in PDF format for this player, so I suggest you download and print them.

Hey Steven C.,
I have a Pioneer Laser Disc Player remote control, model CU-CLD017. It has an audio button and most likely will work on your player. I don't have any use for it.
You are welcome to it if you're interested.
