Just discovered a problem using my Yamaha HTR-5250 receiver.
Put a DTS encoded DVD in my DVD player (Toshiba 2109)
When I tried to set the Yammy's input selector to DTS I could not get any sound.
The sound does come on when I switch the input to Digital mode however, but I don't know whether I'm listening in Dolby Digital or DTS encoding. Have tried this with 2 DTS DVD's.
Any other Yamaha owners had this problem with no sound output when DTS is selected on the input selector???
Any info appreciated.
Thanking you in advance!
Vic

First of all are you choosing the DTS track before you start watching the movie? All DTS DVD's default to the DD 2.0 or DD 5.1 option. You have to go in to the DVD's sound options menu and manually choose the DTS track.

Secondly does your DVD player have a seperate option to enable DTS...if so that might be the problem.
