Anybody with the 703 or any Apex player with the loophole menu:
Does this player convert a PAL signal so it can be seen on an NTSC TV? It says it can play PAL or NTSC DVDs - some players can convert the signal to one or the other. I need this since I'm in the states and my TV is NTSC only.

Hi Trigger. I have the 600A with loophole. It converts PAL to NTSC. I've used it with R2 Prisoner and it works well.

I can't seem to find the Apex 600A at any website, and circuitcity doesn't have it. Do you know anywhere else that has this in stock? Or do u know any other DVD player that plays Region 2 and does PAL to NTSC conversion?

Here's a link to an Apex forum that would have all the answers you need on Apex. I don't know what the availability of the 600A is but I am pretty sure that the current 600A does not have the loophole menu like before.

Tip to others: If you can't find a 600a, just buy a 703 & easily patch it to make it region-free & macrovision-free.
