I have an apex600 (AD? I didn't look closely)... I tried to find the loopholes to deactivate the microvision, but no luck. Now I have to get an RF modulator b/c my TV (which, amazingly, has good quality) can't connect to the dvd player directly. Radio Shack's selling RF modulators for $30?? Are they ripping me off or should I just save up and use some deal to buy a new tv? Thanks for your help.

I don't know about you, but $30 seems like a fair price, and a relatively cheap solution to your problem.

Got an old VCR??? try running the composite out of the DVD player into the VCR and the coax out of the VCR into the TV.

That's how I watch my dvd's, only for macross plus does it play without the macrovision kicking in.. which sucks. Is there a firmware out there for the apex600 to get the loophole option? I'm a bit weary to upgrade it b/c otherwise I wouldn't be able to play movies like the Patriot.
