I'm looking at either the DV-333 or the Panasonic RV31S (the newer, silver version of the RV30). I'd like any advice on which of these two is more preferable.

Thanks.

Well, I've read many great reviews for the Panasonic RV-31s so I went ahead and pre-ordered it at Amazon.com for $199.99 with free shipping an no rebates to hassle with. I think it's a decent deal.

I own 2 panasonic DVD players and I love them, BUT I would buy the Pioneer. It has more outputs (i think) and it plays CD-Rs and CD-RWs.

I've got the 333 and it's never had any trouble with any DVD I've thrown at it, and I've got almost 100 Hong Kong DVDs, many of which lock up my DVD-ROM.
