While watching movies on my DVD player, Pioneer DV-525, little red blotches appear all over the picture. I tried using several different discs and all show the red spots. I also tried cleaning the player but it didn't do anything. Does anyone know what is wrong with my player? I recently connected it to a Sony STR-DE445 Receiver. It's worked fine for the last couple of days but maybe this has something to do with it, or maybe it's just my DVD player. Any information you guys could give me about this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Try different video cables. If you run you DVD player into the reciever...try running it into the TV directly. If the problem goes away then great!!! If not, can you retun the player and buy a SONY?
