I know this may sound kinda stupid but I've been wondering about this......since I'm getting a 16:9 tv tommorrow will my dvd player have to be set to 16:9 to view the movie properly?? what if my dvd player doesn't have a feature to set it from 4:3 to 16:9 (at least I can't find it)

Let me know

Thanks.

All DVD players have this capability, and you will have to change the DVD player to 16:9 to view the movie properly.
There should be a menu option for this, but many players have several menus. You might have to start the player with no disc inside to access the setup menu. If you post the model number of your DVD player, someone can probably help.

You might want to post the model and make of your player. Someone else here may have the same one and be able to help you out.
