thinking of buying the base 32" model (kv32fs12). i do not have a dvd player with component outputs (super video and regular rca only).

Question:

Can you hook it up to the tv and get 16&9 anamorphic, or do you have to have it hooked up through component outputs.
in other words, will i still be able to get the advantage of anamorphic mode even though i don't have a player with component ouptuts?

thanks in advance!

Yes, you will be able to take advantage of the anamorphic squeeze with your DVD player / TV.

You get the best quality video signal via a component hookup, but all three types (composite, S Video, and component) will pass an anamorphic signal.

Your best bet will be to buy a good quality S-Video cable and use that for your connection.

thanks for the speedy reply. that helps in my decision making. from what i've seen so far the wega offers a good compromise between the high priced widescreens and the lower level 32" models.
