I have a JVC-6500 receiver and wanted to know if there was a way to set stereo tv signals to come out of the rear speakers also. On some channels, the sound automatically comes out the rears, but on most channels there is no sound coming out the rear speakers. This is a stereo connection from the tv. I know it won't be true surround sound, but I still would like to force the sound in the rear.
Thanks

That model should have a setting for 5-channel stereo. It basically combines the left and right signals and sends them to all speakers. Check the manual, remote, or the front of the unit for this feature. I would be very supprised if it doesn't do it.

I see nothing about five channel stereo on the receiver or in the manual. Is it possible that they call it something else?
