I was wondering and curious about the VVega. I was looking at the 32" and there are 2 different models, one is priced $100 more. It seems they are priced about $995.00. I was thinking about replaceing my Stereo Tv. Any thoughts on the VVega? I was hoping for the price of VVegas to come down some. I think its stupid to pay $700-800 for a 32/36" 'regular' TV when you can pay a little more for the sony.

The difference between the two lines is that the more expensive one has a better comb filter, and an improved speaker system.

I have the 27FV16, and absolutely love it. I've never before seen my DVD's with such clarity and vivid color.

In my opinion (aside from the fact that they weigh a ton), you can't go wrong with a Wega.

I have a Sony KV27FS12($599) and my friend has the EXACT same size TV but model # is KV27FS16($699) and the only difference between the two is that his tv has a 2-tuner PIP, and mine only has a 1 tuner. So if you paying an extra $100 bux for a feature you may or may not use justifies the purchase then go ahead. I am TOTALLY happy with my TV...the 16x9 enhancement feature alone makes the TV worth the money

I got the "lower end" 32" model and absolutely love this TV. For me it was definitely an issue of not paying a couple hundred dollars more for features I wasn't going to use that much in the otehr 32" Wega. So we went with the $950 32" and got an OBSCENE deal at Best Buy that enabled us to drive home with that set for $750 after taxes.

Definitely worth spending more to get a better quality in the Wega than buying a slightly bigger Toshiba or other set.

How did you get it for $750? Please let me know, cause if i could get it for that i will buy one this weekend! Does it have all the inputs (rca jacks, s-video, and video components)? I need at least 2 s-video hookups for the DVD player and DSS satellite.

Only two of them do the anamorphic squeeze trick, probably important if you watch a lot of anamorphic DVD's.

I'm glad the information helped. Unfortunately I can't help you with the pricing.

Screw Sony, the Panasonic Tau MURDERS that overrated TV. Believe me I look at those TV's all day. Even the REGULAR Panasonics have better color and sharper picture then the VVega's. I think you people better LOOK before you buy instead of just going along with all the hype.
