Do most DD recievers also decode the dolby prologic surround too? I want to get a DD reciever that decodes DD/DTS/prologic. I need the prologic surround for my DSS satellite and vcr(if i ever use it again).

The Kenwood is probably a marginally better choice. If I recall correctly it has a slightly lower total distortion rating and a marginally more powerful amp section.

The build quality of both of these units is solid. If I might add my $0.02, avoid the DE line of Sony. While the Sony DB line of receivers are fine products, the DE's have a cheaper quality to them, much higher distortion ratings, and cheaper components.
