Hey everyone
Sorry this isn't a dvd question but if you can send me a link on how to do this i would appreciate it. I would like to remove my existing hard drive and replace it with a one with more gigs. I have no problem switching the drives. My question is do i need to do anyting before i switch it and when when i do make the switch what is the procedures i should follow to set up the new hard drive. Thanks in advance for you help.

Well this thread might be locked because it pertains to nothing.
First of all do you want to KEEP the files on your existing hard drive?
I think this would be VERY easy if you happen to have a 2nd PC (on a LAN Network?), a CD WRITER, or put the new hard drive on your new PC with both hard drives connected (temporarily).
I can give you detailed routes of what to do if you have either a 2ND PC on a LAN, a CDWRITER, or if you want to temporarily have both hard drives on your PC so you can copy the old drives data over.
If you want to lose all the data on your old drive, it's nothing hard at all either.
First reply on what you want to do - this thread will be locked - so contact me at [email protected]
