rear speaker placement?

Actually, rear speakers should be 2-3ft above your head and on the side of the listening position.

While Dolby's placement is one method, there are no 'rules' as to where you should place them. They offer several suggestions on their site, but the best method is experimentation and see what sounds best to you. My surrounds are about 100 lbs each...I don't see them going 3 feet over my head. 
Seriously, what part of the speaker are they talking about? Tweeters, midrange, woofers? It's not a definite science, and experimentation is the key.
