I have a PS2 and when in DVD mode the color fades in and out very bad. Only does it during the movie. When playing games the video is fine. Does someone know what I am doing wrong. I have tried a variety of movies and no luck. Do I have a defective unit??

There's no reason to put Macrovision on games so they work fine. Movies have Macrovision which triggers the VCR to do what you complained about. Bypass the VCR for movies. Or do you like recording your games for future viewing?

You have encountered a copy protection scheme known as Macrovision. Do a search here for more info.
Also, try www.macrovision.com or looking at your PS2 owner's manual.
