OK, I have a bit of a problem. I have just brought off of a friend a creative pc dvd dxr2 5x dvd rom and crad and it has installed fine. It has all the latest drivers and etc but I have one BIG problem. I can see and hear the dvd but the picture qulity is really, really poor. so far as to say I can only see 3/4 of it and it is grany and bitty. Please tell me what I have to do to fix this. I had to buy a new pass through cable and I cant use creatives own softwear cos I cant set the regon code on the drive. but I can use windows own wich uses the hardwear (win ME). Any help that you can give me on any of these queires would be great.
Jos

Are you talking about the image on your monitor or off the TV-out? The TV-out can be improved by taking a standard S-video cable and breaking off the little plastic tab on the lower side of the connector. You can then carefully insert the cable into the TV-out on the DXR2 card, careful not to mash the pins on the connector as you insert it into the DXR2. This is an alternative to the cheap cable Creative includes in the package for hookup to a TV. I used a monster s-vid 3 cable and the picture is superb!
