I have to hook up my DVD player to my mono VCR. (Its an old vcr so macrovision does not work on it) Should I use a Y cable from the audio out of my DVD player and put it in the mono in of my VCR. By doing this will I damage anything. Or should I just use one of the R or L channels from the DVD player into the VCR.
Thanks, Mike

Using a Y cable will not harm anything. If you have to input your DVD's audio into a mono VCR, I recommend using the Y cable (so you can hear all of the sound). I'm not sure about your particular DVD model, but most DVD players do not have a mono-out (like using just the left or right channels).
Good luck!
