i wondered if any of you might have some insight into this phenomenon.....
i've got the audio from my rca dss reciever hooked to my av reciever via an optical cable. every once and awhile my speakers will blare with white noise (i think what it's called. basically the same sound you associate with a snowy picture.). this seems to coincide with changing the channels too fast. my solution is just to hit the mute button while channel surfing. the wife however sometimes forgets and i'm afraid my speakers could someday be damaged. any ideas as to what's going on? let me know if i need to provide additional info.
thanks in advance,
