While playing "Saving Private Ryan" on my Philips DVD711, there is a pause at exactly 1:33:33. I am assuming that this is a layer change. I do not experience this with "The Patriot" which I assume has a layer change during playback as well. Does anyone else have problems with SPR or should I look for another DVD player?

Thanks!

I think that the layer change in the Patriot is during one of the fades to black during the film. (finally, someone did it right...)

I also just checked my copy of SPR.
1:33:33 is the layer change point. Your player is fine.
