Audio hook up help please
Bought a Sony sound bar. Have Samsung tv. Anyhow I did went the route of the optical cable for hook up but wanted to hook up my Xbox independently but my only option is optical as well. I have 4 hdmi inputs and no output. The sound bar has an hdmi out to tv...Why? Is this for Sony tvs only? Thanks

Does it say it has ARC on the HDMI output to TV? If so, you should be able to use that to get sound from the TV since it goes in both directions, and the optical for the Xbox.
Sounds like it has a built in switcher for HDMI, which could be convenient for those with HDMI sources.
