I have read in other post that Monster s-video cables are much better than those cheap radioshack ones. I want to know whether this is true and know if i should spend the 25$ on those cables that they have at amazon.com. Please post comments here. Thanks.

Monster cables are much better than the standard issue Radio Shack variety. However, it may not make enough difference to be worth the money for you unless you have relatively high-end equipment. If you are talking about connecting a DVD player to a high-quality, large screen (32" or higher) TV, then I have found it to definately be worth the investment. However, I have another TV (13") that is connected to a inexpensive VCR, and I think it would be a waste of money to hook that up with Monster.

I'll agree with Matt on this one. It really depends on your components. I have a 35" Sony and am very happy with the S-video for the DVD player (DVP-S7700) and the monster coax for the VHS...but they did cost me over $100 for the cables alone. If you've got good equipment and don't mind a little extra $$ for some piece of mind then buy them. They aren't going to hurt your picture.

Just to hear from someone with a different system, I only have a 19 inch Magnavox and radio shack gold cables and the picture is very nice from the dvd. I haven't tried monster (not worth it, me thinks, for this tv) but if you don't need 'em save the money I sez.
