Watching a TV show over cable on a Vizio 70" HDTV. The display is playing at 720p. When they put up those awful station things up like "BBC" or "#Orphan Black" at first it it displays fine. There after about 4 seconds they start to flicker. It only stops when the letters are faded out. Next time they come back there's again the 4 seconds of steadiness and then the flicker starts.

What's up with this--it's very annoying.

Do you have some sort of dynamic contrast adjusting turned on?

I think all those settings are off. I'll check.

Fixed: I was able to change my Time Warner cable box video output from, I think 720p, to "Native." All better.

Nice find. That would not have been my 2nd guess.
