I have a question, I have heard that WebTV is really bad, etc. How is
it really? I am thinking of getting it for my Grandmother for Christmas
because she wants to send email and search the web, mainly go to news sites like foxnews.com that she watches all the time and wants to participate in their polls , etc etc.

Many thanks...

I have a webtv and I like it. It is easy to use and quite easy to see on my 40" TV. I have kept it because I only pay $5 a month for access and the channel guide alone is worth that much.

The biggest disadvantage is no hard drive and no ability to download.

I think it is a perfect tool for kids or grandparents that want to get there feet wet in the internet world. It does all the things that you mention she will use it for well so I would say go for it!
