I am about to move into my new house and i am considering upgrading my receiver to either the TXDS989 or TXDS787 by Onkyo and i thought i would ask and see if i could get some help with the following:
What kind of speaker should I get for the extra channel?
If i go with the TXDS989,should i maximize the extra set of rear speakers and split the extra channel into two?
I work for Circuit CIty and know a decent amount about Audio, but i always find great suggestions through here.... Thanks for any suggestions..

Coach... (either post here or email me.. thanks a bunch!)

It's pretty simple COACH. Get the surround back speakers to be as close to the left and right rears as possible. If they are still made, get the identical speaker. There is a lot of argument on weather direct radiating or dipole is best for the EX/ES channel. I have tried both and personally prefer dipole, but it really depends on room size and the speaker. As for the one or two speaker question; definately get two. Besides, it's hard to by one rear speaker anyway.
