Okay, I refuse to buy one of those dinky remotes...especially since I'm wanting to get a real nice learning remote for my home theater. Here's the thing, the remotes sold have this pass-through and you use the remote just like any other remote. If I get a real good learning remote, will it be able to learn the codes from the dinky PS2 remote?

Can't comment on that but on a related note it seems like the remotes being sold for it are not all they are made out to be as the link below indicates.
