hello-

i'm in the market for a dvd player. and i'm stuck on a variety of choices. right now, i'm looking at the apex ad800, but i remember reading about someone having a problem playing some newer movies (patriot, etc) on apex machines.

should i be concerned?

also. does anyone here use ps2 to play dvds? is the quality good? i'm debating whether i should wait a couple of months and buy the ps2 or buy a dvd player now.

i'm not trying to spend much, but i have to have dolby 5.1 built in.
