Anamorphic Help

Ok, I've read the digitalbits.com anamorphic guide, and I think I have an ok grasp on how it works and what it does. Now my question is, how is it supposed to look on my Wega? I set my player (Sony S360) to 16:9 and put the Wega (FS12) on Enhanced for 16:9 and the size of the picture is the same. Is this what I'm supposed to get?

Important question!!!
Is the dvd you are trying to play anamorphic?? Look on the back and see if you see the words Enhanced for widescreen TV's or anamorphic or 16X9 etc.....

a 16:9 enhanced disc played on the Sony wega in squeeze mode will look identical to the disc played on any other 4:3 display only it should have more resolution since its using more scan lines for the picture. You wont get any less black bars if that is what you are thinking.
