How do I find my activation code for Netflix stream? I have a Sharp blu ray player model no. BD-HP35U.

When you connect to Netflix from your Blu Ray player it will give you a code that you need to enter from a PC on Netflix.com. You have to have your player connected to the internet.

Just got a response from Sharp saying this model doesn't need an activation code and should ask for my e-mail/Netflix password. Well, it never comes up to ask for that information.

Odd since I am connected to the internet (can watch youtube on my TV).

Just called a friend and he's coming over tomorrow to take a look.

If you haven't already, you should definitely update your firmware. The latest release was at the end of July and includes Netflix improvements.

My friend could not make it over this weekend. Not sure what's going on. Netflix logo with red background comes up on the tv and then shortly after says "cannot connect to Netflix at this time. Try again later".

Netflix has been pretty sketchy the last couple weeks. I've seen a couple outright failures, some videos that took 2-3 attempts to load, and some unusual hesitation/skipping. That's on my 40Mbps connection. When Hulu is performing better than Netflix, something is off.

That last one sounds like you got through authorization, maybe there was just another problem.

I've been watching Netflix quite a lot lately (on both PC and my new Samsung TV) and haven't had any problems.

I had problems last night connecting with a new tablet but it was fine this morning.

I've tried all suggestions....and it still says "cannot connect at this time. Try again later". Ugh! Again, very odd since I can connect to YouTube as well as some other HD movie rental offers quickly.

Odd. Did you poke around the Netflix site? The section dealing with authorizing Blu Ray players and such might have something about it. The only time I clicked on it was to authorize my LG and PS3, but maybe you can do something with it there?

Here's a fun one. Watching a show tonight, it suddenly stopped, giving me a message that my login was in error. Told me to log out, then back in.

Should show what, that DVD Talker LiquidSky is having problems? I use Netflix nearly every day, from home and the office. Never have any problems. I'm guessing it's a problem with your setup, ISP, or equipment -- not with their service.

Yes. I want to be on TV. Now, it's working fine (without me doing anything else) so who knows? Happy that it works!
