take a look at the Acoustic Research brand. they sell them at www.avconnect.com and www.accessories4less.com

i have had good experiences with both companies so i say go with the site that has cheaper shipping charges.

800.com had the same ones for $11.95 with free priority shipping. Not sure if they are still that price. Give it a try, I love mine!

I am pretty sure I saw the 1m Recoton optical cable at Sears for 9.99. I am planning on buying it to use with the PS2 when I get it.

Is there any noticeable difference in sound quality between different optical cables? There shouldn't be...right. How do you get the one at sears for 9.99? It is currently listed at $12.99.

Cheap optical cables have a plastic core. Expensive ones have a glass core. Some would argue the glass core is better. I would argue COAX is better if you have the option to use it.
