A Delay in Video on Sony BDP-BX37

I currently have a Sony BDP-BX37 Blu-Ray player. It is connected by HDMI cable to a Sony Multi-Channel AV Receiver STR-DG820 which is then connected to a Sony Bravia via HDMI cable.

I have a problem that is irritating me a bit. Anytime I play a DVD or BD there is a 5-7 second delay on the video appearing on the screen. I will hear the audio but no video for a slight amount of time. I used to have a BDP-S350 (I believe) and that was connected the exact same way to the exact same receiver and TV. Is there a reasoning behind this and/or a way to fix it?

Thanks
