Looking for 22-26" flat panel in the 225 price range
Title says it all. Daughter needs one to go back to school in the fall, and will be used for non-HD cable, Wii and if possible - connecting her laptop to in order to play DVDs. It won't be connected to any sort of receiver, so unit audio quality is a concern.
Price range is around $225 ($250 max)
Looked at Best Buy over the weekend, and saw some a Dynex in that range - but I know nothing about the brand.
Any info mucho appreciated...

I think Vizio has a 23" in that price range. I believe Wal-mart carries it if you don't have a Sams/BJs/Costco membership.

I got the Dynex 24" a couple weeks ago. They frequently have it on sale for $200.
Not a very good contrast ratio, but it has good inputs and a decent picture if you work on it for a while. I did have to add powered speakers as its sound was very tinny.
It's a true 1080p which makes it nice for close viewing and it works well as a computer monitor too.
Costco has this Samsung for $250 that looked nice and sounded better, but it has fewer inputs.

do you like the Dynex? kid broke our 6 year old 26" Sharp LCD and i have to buy a new TV. thought about a 40" Dynex or one of the off brands and get an add on blu ray player or PS3 for the online and everything else
i liked the picture quality on my old Sharp and not looking for anything better. at avsforum there is a huge dynex thread and haven't seen any complaints in it

I'm not sure of the price but you may want to check out the Insignia line at Best Buy. They are made by LG and have a 2 year warranty, you should be able to find a 22" for close to that, I bought a 19" LED for the kitchen for $199 a few months ago and have been quite pleased with it.
