Do I need a new TV?
Hope you guys can help - need some techy help.
Got a Toshiba TV, Sony DVD player and DVR box.
DVD player is hooked up to TV - used to play fine. Then DVD's started to play blurry - almost like the player was dirty. Anyway, bought the DVD cleaner, nothing. Though maybe it was the player so bought another player. Same thing. Very blurry - not viewable.
All other channels (DVR box) play fine.
Thought it was the cables so tried the player with cables on another TV - fine. Clear as day.
So, can it possible be the TV? Or could it be the DVR box? (tried asking stores but they just want to sell me more cables). Would like some insight before I go out an buy a new TV - thanks.

Re: Do I need a new TV?
I had this same problem with an Apex dvd player several years ago. It turned out the problem was the dvd player itself. If you pause the dvd player and the picture gets clear and crisp, it's the dvd player you need to replace.

Swap the inputs. If you do that it should tell you if it is the player or that input connection on the TV.
