So LED projectors have officially hit the market. While still quite expensive, we know that prices will fall in the coming years.

The lamps are being touted as lasting 60,000 hours or more. As it says in the article, that's 8 hours a day for 20 years. In other words, no more replacement bulbs, ever! Can't wait for them to drop to consumer levels.

Oh, Damn...at first I wasn't putting 2+2 together. I was thinking "yea, but what about the quality". Then I read the article, it is a DLP! WOOT! Now that doesn't automatically mean it will be great, but can't wait to see one or some reviews!!

I'd definitely be interested to see if the multicolor LED has any tech-derived artifacts. In the lower price ranges, single-chip DLP is painful and 3-panel LCD can easily be misaligned. This is definitely the future I've been wanting to see.
