Does Sony, Panasonic, Samsung make special technology for government and science?

Does anyone know if the famous electronics companies also make secretive technology for the government or scientists besides HDTVs and 3D-Blu Ray players? Matrixy, Clockwork Orange technology? For example, remember the hologram scene in G.I. Joe? Are there companies like Sony, Samsung, Pioneer, or Panasonic that actually stick their brand on the super technologies that public don't get?

I would be amused to see if one of those Matrix plug-in things into the back of the head had a Sony brand on it.

Everyone knows that Sony and Panasonic make the best quality TVs. But it would be great if they are known for something better that the public don't know about, that is, their home theater technology profits are just pocket change for these companies.

Does anyone know if there's any other impressive technology that these companies may make?

If any of us knew, it wouldn't be much of a secret now, would it?

I saw Sony's name in [insert latest spy flick name], so yes, they do make those things.
