I have been searching the net for 16x9 TVs and digital/dts receivers. Could someone tell me what the cheapest price for a 16x9 TV is and what the cheapest dts receiver is? Any brand doesn't matter. Please help. Thanks.

That question is pretty vague. I would check out a few threads searching for some about brands you are interested in. Online deals can be had at www.wholesaleconnection.com www.onecall.com and many others. First check out what some people have to say about different brands then search for the deal on what you want. Generally Yamaha and Onkyo are good receiver and Toshiba and Pioneer are the most popular 16x9 TV's. I've seen the Mitsubishi and was impressed with that picture as well, but they have good, better, bets and it can get confusing. Good luck

The cheapest DTS with 500 watts (100W per channel) is the Kenwood VR407, at ecost is $250, and after pricematch, at Onecall.com, it is $243.00. I think sony has a cheaper one, but its like 65watts/channel, and im not sure if its DTS

I've got the Kenwood (only paid $200 for mine. Fry's was running a special a few weeks ago). I am using it for a second home theater I'm setting up (using stuff I have, when I can. Trying to keep it pretty cheap) The Kenwood is a very nice receiver for the money. It doesn't have very many bells and whistles, but it does Dolby Digital and DTS, and is 100 watts/channel. I've hooked my DVD player up to it (only have one at the moment. The Kenwood's gonna get my PS2 in October) and played a few DD and DTS discs on it. It has fairly decent sound. Not great, but keep in mind how much you are paying. BUT, for $200-$250, it is well worth it.
