I recently purchase the El Mariachi/Desperado DVD and I am trying to watch El Mariachi
When I choose "Play Movie" on the menu it starts, but it is the Directors commentary. I have tried everything I can think of to just play the regular movie. I also flipped the disc and tried Desperado and it works fine.
It has done this in both of my players. I have a Panasonic C-220 5 disc and a Toshiba 6109C.
I have watched over 500 movies on various players and this is the only movie I have ever had a hard time playing correctly.
Thanks for any help

It's not a problem with your player. You need to switch the language track to Spanish with English subtitles. The movie was filmed in Mexico (and in Spanish), and wasn't dubbed on the DVD.
