I have a Marantz SR-880 MkII receiver, and am looking into getting an LD player from ebay. Would I need to get a RF demodulator as well? Or can my receiver accept the raw RF data and deconvolute the 5.1 sound?

Thanks!

If you do not have an RF input on the rear of your receiver then yes you need a demodulator....My Yamaha decoder which is external has this input on the rear....be sure that the LD player you are purchasing has this jack on the rear...some do not!!!!
