Hopefully this helps someone, it sure did save me some money.

go to www.recotondirect.com and click on the audio/video accessories button. they are currently selling 40 feet of recoton 12 quage speaker wire for $2.49 and it comes with some connecting pins. even a better deal if you get more than one.

here is the information and picture from another site of exactly what you get.

at such a cheap price, i was suprised with what i received. i picked up 4 of these. i also got the $13.99 home theater surge protector, thats pretty cool as well.

This deal came up in an earlier post, andmy stuff was delivered yesterday. I must say that the wire is great, and the surge protecter is great too. I plugged my stuff into it last night, and you aren't going to believe this...but guess what happened at about 4 in the morning...my house got hit by lightning! All of my monitors in the house got polarized (nothing a little degaussing wouldn't take care of) but boy oh boy, I was laughing!

The only problem I have so far with this deal is Recoton. I placed the order a week and a half ago. I figured that would be plenty of time to have it here in time for yesturday or today as they said it was in stock. It may get here today (and I hope it does). I was planning on having it ready for when I bought my Kenwood HTB-503 yesturday. They shipped the wire a week after I placed the order and they are predicting it to arrive a week after that. So I may have to wait until Wednesday to try out my first 5.1 setup (also the first 5.1 I'll ever hear).

recotondirect got my two orders to me in a week to 10 days after order, and when I saw that the price on the wire I ordered had dropped between the orders (to the 2.49 deal everyone is now buying up) they refunded the difference to me

I still haven't recieved it two weeks after the order was placed. The only information UPS has is that the Reconon told them they wanted to ship it a week ago and have no idea where it is.

After talking to the guys at UPS (not very helpful) I called up Recoton to see if they can help me. The b!tch I talked to would anly give me the very little information that I already have and didn't seem too willing to go out of her way to help me.

So next I used the online chat support at Recoton. The guy I talked to (Greg) even remembered chatting with me last week (preatty cool). He was willing to go out of his way, and although he couldn't give me any information he is going to put a trace on it to see what's up. He was very appologettic(sp?) and actually seemed like my order was important to him.

TODAY'S LESSON: If you need to contact Recoton, use the only support and make sure you get Greg.

Well, they are going to send my order again because of the problem. They also said that if I recieved two orders not to worry about sending the other back. I still have to wait, but there is a possibility that I'll get 320ft (vs 160ft) of the wire for $14.
