Hi i currently enjoy my movies in glorious dolby digital 5.1, i now see most movies are coming out in the format of dts. My audio reciever is a dolby digital / dts reciever I really want to hear the difference in sound

My dvd player is a mitsubishi dd 2000 with digital coaxial output

Now do i have to buy another dvd player in order to enjoy dts? cuz my output is a dolby digital coax output.

or will the reviever pick up the dts signal from the dolby digital coaxial output.

thanks a bunch !

I already answered your post on another thread....yes you will need to buy another dvd player if your current player does not have a coax out....

Don't be sorry......this forum is about helping others......dolby digital sound does travel via coax also....if your player is not DTS compatible(should have the logo on front of machine) you will not be able to utilize DTS. How old is your player?

Please be sure of your facts before giving advise. You DO NOT NEED to have coaxial digital to use DTS audio! You can use either Optical or Coaxial digital outputs.
