External HDTV Tuner for Projector
Hi everyone! long time lurker, first time poster
My current setup consists of an Epson 6100 1080p projector and a harmon kardon AV receiver. I am looking for an HDTV tuner to connect to my receiver either through HDMI or component so i can watch HD tv on the projector. I have done several searches and haven found anything. Looks like there are going the way of the dinosaur.
If anyone know where I can find one or would sell me one, it would be greatly appreciated.

The Samsung DTB-H260F is pretty much the only game in town. But I suspect Samsung is no longer building them.
I picked mine up as a demo model when the Circuit Cities went belly up last year. It works remarkably well.
There are a few used models on Amazon, but boy are they expensive. Try eBay, but be careful. They're commonly found being sold WITHOUT THE REMOTE. (Which the unit will not work without.)

You might be able to find an old Voom box floating around. You would really need to read up on making sure it is unlocked, etc. I bought one of ebay and used that for OTA HD and it really worked well. I finally took the plunge and got HD Dish, but it is a nice unit.

Thanks for teh suggestion on the Voom box. I was able to get one for $5.50 off of ebay. The listing stated that it was active when VOOM discontinued service. Hopefully this will work.
Is there anything else that I should know before beginning.
Thanks for the suggestions. You all are the best!!

Bumpity bump.
I'm cutting the cord and looking for an OTA Tuner with HDMI output for the local channels. I've looked at a few on Amazon and they all seem to have pretty mixed reviews. I don't really need DVR functionality. Would like something with a decent interface.
Any recommendations from folks here?

I am using an HDHOMERUN, they have different versions but I bought a cheap refurbed two tuner model that connects to a physical antenna and to a wired network connection.
You can then receive/access the tuner with DLNA on a variety of smart devices, I am using an app on apple tv (forget the name, it was a free one). You can also use software like plex to record/timeshift. Most of the advanced guides/dvr software cost money.
There are other similiar devices including one from Sling TV called AirTV and one from Amazon call FireTV Recast that works with fire sticks.
