-- I HATE dead people.
-- There's a reason why writers don't live very long. Yeah, people like you, 'cause you're the devil. Why don't you finally admit it? Say it! "I'm the devil!" Say it!

-- Aren't you one of those guys. What guys? Those guy guys, you know those guys with skills? Skills? Yeah, You send them out into the wilderness with a pocket knife & a Q-Tip & they build you a shopping mall, you can't do that? No, I can't do that.

I keep all of my boxes, manuals ect.If you ever want to upgrade and need to sell your components. You will have a MUCH better chance of selling them if you have the original box, manual ect.

i keep them too - i also keep the plastic twine which keeps the cords tightened.

u ask why?

when i ebay my somewhat used (outdated) goods - i write in my description that it has all the original plastic and even the plastic strip that is over the power and other cords! just adds more value to the product for the bidder - i guess - i know coz had quite a few inquiries!

that is one good reason to keep everything if u ebay - once a buyer wrote that opening a box from me was like opening a brand new one just bought from the store - in that instance - i had even the original sealed batteries too - coz i never used the remote! (used my universal)!!!

HTH!

that is logic!

Yes, I do too. In fact as a kid I did the same with my toys. The oddest box that I kept was for my 32 inch tv. The 27 inch tv box was easy to hide, but this one...its kinda obvious.

Yup, I keep it all! When I throw stuff away, I pack it up and throw it all away too! It's a fitting funeral.

Of course, who wouldn't? Seriously tho, if you move enough like I do you would be damned happy to have the original packaging. It makes the process painless and gives you peace of mind. Also there are some weird companies that won't accept RMA's if you don't have the original packaging.

Yes, I do. Although it is a nuisance trying to find enough storage space.

I just recently threw away almost every box I'd been keeping. I was saving them with the idea that they would save me a headache when I move. But they've been taking up so much space in my apt. (not to mention the fire hazard) that I had to get rid of them.

I now have much more space and when I move I'll just have to buy boxes + bubble wrap from www.uline.com

A small price to pay for a lot more living space.

Absolutely! A corner of my bedroom is full of computer and electronics boxes, plus one of my closets is full.

Luckily I have plenty of storage space.
