Just watched Twister in DTS mode and then DD 5.1 to see if I could tell any difference...

I must admit DTS seemed a lot sharper and cleaner. Especially the aggressive tornado sounds to the rears as the tornado(s) swirl around you. DD seemed to focus a lot more on the sub though... The opening scene where the old man gets sucked into the vortex had my Klipsch 12" rattling the picture frames off the wall in DD, yet the DTS mode was a lot tamer by comparison.

Anybody else tried both modes?

Welcome to the forum!

Since it is a Hardware forum, you won't get a lot of response here, please post your post on the DVDtalk forum.

No I'm not trying to be a moderator (God forbidded I don't want that high demand job!) just want to show a user how to get more response for his post, afterall, he expect there will be replies to his post right?

First of all, this really belongs in either Reviews or DVDTalk.

Anyway, I think the DTS sounds better. The bass is richer, not as harsh, and the vocals seem to be fuller, not as tinny.
