Have a wierd question. Last week my playstation would not run connected to a Onkyo 607 suddenly. tried swapping cables and that did not help. I did move the 1st cable back and moved it to another HDMI port on the receiver. It worked. SO since the receiver was within the 30 days, I exchanged it.

With the new unit I wanted to make sure the 2nd HDMI cable was not bad so I plugged that one in. The next day I powered them on and the screen started to flash. As if the receiver was not getting connectivity. I then proceed to replug in the origional cable. It is working fine now. I am assuming that the 2nd HDMI cable is bad and I am kinda paranoid the 2nd one is going. These were cables from amazon. (The .20 ones) Should I go on and buy more expensive HDMI calbes? Mind you the HDMI already plugged into the TV and cable box appear to still be working fine.

I guess what I am asking, is the ps3 that much more sensitive? or just bad cables?

OK. bought 3 of the HDMI cables which was there biggest sellers. Looked good. I hope it is better then the .20 cable I bought at amazon.
