I have 2 Stillwater Designs Kicker C-10a's and am looking to utilize them in my home theater. They are both 4-ohm subs and I would likely wire them in series to get an 8-ohm load. The cabinet will be built for me to fit under my couch (likely under the whole couch to accomodate the required cabinet volume) the only missing feature I have is amplification. I currntly have an older Onkyo 323 pro-logic receiver which I am hoping to replace with a 575 to get DD & DTS and also a sub-out. Problem is I don't know of any decent quality amps to run this with. Looking for one to build into it that would accept a sub-out from the receiver. NE idea where I might find such a component?

I am in a nearly identical situation. I have two Pioneer 10" 400 Watt speakers I want to use for a sub on my home system and I need a BUDGET amplifier for them. Any suggestions as to where I could get one?

There is a couple that come to mind.Have thought about Audiosource?.They have 3 monoblock amplifiers and the most powerful one is 250 watts and is stable down to 2 ohms. You can pick that up for about $250.00 at J&R Musicworld or [URL=http://www.spidergear.com. The other ones are 100 watts and 150 watts and are cheaper.Good luck
