Using PS3 as a Blu-Ray Player...Audio Settings Question

Hey all,

I haven't really taken the BRD plunge until recently, and for the time being, I use my PS3 console as my BRD player. I have it hooked up via HDMI to an LCD HD TV (1080p), though I don't have any special home theater system setup at the time.

Anyway, I've noticed that when I play BRD movies, the volume shrinks down way low, almost to the point where it's hard to hear anything without the volume being cranked up to around 80/100.

I've tried messing with some of the audio settings, but I haven't seen any results yet. Anyone ever have this happen to them, and anyone have any advice?

Thanks.

Don't have that problem myself on my lcd and ps3. Could it possibly be a faulty hdmi cable? Also I believe the ps3 has an optical out. I don't feel like getting up to check so I'm not sure :P
